INIC’s Secretary-General Downplays Effects of Sanctions on Iran

TEHRAN (INIC)- Dr. Saeid Sarkar, the secretary-general of INIC, downplayed the effects of western sanctions against Iran, and reiterated that such embargos will further harm those countries which have sponsored them.

The imposed sanctions will be a thorn in our enemies’ side,” Dr. Saeid Sarkar said, addressing the participants in a ceremony to unveil Iran's new nano products.

Dr. Sarkar referred to the existing sanctions on high-tech trades and INIC’s plan to thwart their impacts, and said, “So far, 24 knowledge-based companies have been activated and focused on laboratory equipment. These companies have managed to manufacture about 30 advanced nanotechnology systems in the country.

He reiterated that the sanctions will ultimately be a thorn in the flesh of Iran’s enemies, and stated that the imposed sanctions have pushed Iran forward and helped the indigenization of technologies.

Such an initiated movement towards national production of high-tech and contemporary goods and services would break the monopoly of the industrial countries over the high-tech products market.”,

“We do our best to promote the worldwide rank of Iran in all nanotechnology fields and it is our dream to play a decisive role in the world stage, in this regard. For this end, more than before, we need to support our scientists and researchers while they are making their efforts,” Dr. Sarkar added.
