Dear Colleague,

Chemical Watch are thrilled to announce a timely addition to our 2012 webinar programme, 'Nanotechnology Regulation' - an informative live event at which our expert panel will explain and explore current regulatory environment in this dynamic sector.

The webinar takes place on Tuesday 11 December at 2pm GMT.

There is a modest delegate fee for this event, a sound investment given the informational value delivered by the panel.

Our expert panel:

Join our expert panel including Kathleen Sellers, Principal Environmental Engineer at Arcadis, Wim de Coen, Head of Unit in Evaluation at ECHA and chair of ECHA's Task Force on Nanomaterials, and Steffi Friedrichs, Director General of the Nanotechnology Industries Association (NIA).

Key outcomes you can expect:

The European Chemical Agency will discuss the first REACH nano-dossiers and the approaches it wants to see in nano-specific risk assessment. As well as providing feedback on recent developments, ECHA will also give an overview of its future activities.
Arcadis will look closer at the definition of a nanomaterial. The consultant will report on work being carried out with the Dutch authorities on size-related properties which offers insights into the fate and potential toxicological effects of nanomaterials.

The Nanotechnology Industries Association will look at innovation and the regulatory environment it seeks to foster development of nanotechnology.
As always, we will be putting delegates' questions to the panel during the event, and offering all attendees a copy of the webinar recording for their reference.
